icyslopes

icyslopes explores the topics of glaciers and mountains, art and science. Although most people have never visited a glacier, the media has introduced many to high-def photos of blue ice and stories of our shrinking cryosphere. In icyslopes, I consider glaciers and mountains from a historical perspective, ranging over the ways that humans have represented them in art and science, and interacted with them through research and sport. icyslopes is an informal, experimental space; citations will be few and academic content minimal.
